Aveva PDMS As-built model and design of a midsized chemical plant
This is a mid-sized chemical plant located in Scotland. Stage one of the project consisted of Laser scanning the plant in its entirety and delivering a registered point cloud and RGB TruView. Stage two consisted of the production of an as-built PDMS model for the entire site. The model contained a full database and catalogue for the piping In AVEVA everything 3D software.
In addition to the survey aspect, 3Deling were also involved in the design stage of this project. The client supplied a specification for the installation of new plant and piping. The required elements were modelled in the same coordinate system as the as-built model from the point cloud, checking and resolving all clashes with the existing structures. From the design model, a set of new ISO drawings were produced along with parts inventory for use by the manufacturer.
