2D and 3D as-built surveys in Gdynia Railway station
The railway station in Gdynia is one of the largest in Poland. The buildings consist of the station building and adjacent offices, two station halls and a basement containing two air raid shelters. Due to its historical significance, the station is listed by National Heritage. Because of the listed status, the designers cannot introduce significant changes to the exterior appearance of the buildings, however, the interior is to be extensively remodelled.
3Deling was commissioned to conduct an extensive as-built survey of the entire complex. In addition to the 2D floor plans and elevational drawings produced to aid the redesign, a 3D model was created for visualisation purposes.
