INVENTORY OF SELFRIDGES EXTERNAL FACADE
The scope of the project was to carry out a detailed examination of the facades of the iconic Selfridges department store on London’s Oxford Street. Limited access in this busy London thoroughfare prevented the use of drone technology at the time. Our team, therefore, undertook scanning and photography from a number of adjacent buildings to capture data as perpendicular to the facades as possible.
This was a technically challenging project due to the high resolution and density of the scan data. The finished article, however, is impressive. From the collected data, orthophoto plans were produced from a high resolution coloured point cloud.
